William Lombardo's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally, including 2 shows at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., the Allentown Museum of Art, in Allentown, Pa., The Whitney Museum of American Art, in New York City, the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, in New York City. His work is also in the collections of The University of Wisconsin, Madison, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., the Stern Foundation, Washington D.C., the University of Iowa Museum of Art, Iowa City.

William has a long career teaching art at universities including, the Corcoran College of Art and Design (formerly the Corcoran School of Art), the University of Wisconsin, the New School, New York City, and the School of Visual Arts, New York City. He has lectured at many other universities as well.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1945 and received a BFA degree from the Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He received his MFA degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.

William lives in New York City.
